Invitation:
This workshop is designed for educators who are thinking about adding a nature component to their current programming and for educators who have started to take their students outside more often but are wanting more confidence in creating a safe and fun outdoor classroom.
At this workshop educators will learn:

The 'must haves' when choosing an outdoor site. Learn how to choose an appropriate site or see if your site has all that it needs for a great learning environment.

How to create boundaries when there are no walls!

Risk Management -Being prepared for the unknown; how to write a risk management plan.

Examples of routines that create a safe outdoor classroom with a balance of guided activities and free play.

This session will provide educators with the information and tools they need to confidently run a successful and safe nature program independently or as part of a current program.
